Aize: Accelerates industry’s digital transformation

Aize is a software company which aims to accelerate industry’s digital transformation on the back of 30 years of software experience. The company is a global supplier of “digital twin” software, which makes it possible for industrial enterprises to organize and visualize data for the purpose of navigating, collaborating, and making decisions in “real time”. This is achieved via a digital representation (often called digital twin) of the physical assets of an enterprise or project. Aize is headquartered in Norway and has offices in the UK and USA.

Aker's ownership agenda

Industrial software is an important focus area for Aker. Inspired by the success of Cognite, Aker’s ambition for Aize is to develop the company into one of the leading drivers for industrial companies’ faster digital transformation. Where Cognite’s main product, Cognite Data Fusion®, collects, processes and contextualizes vast quantities of data, Aize focuses on developing software and applications that create a unique user experience for industrial customers. The company is pursuing a strategy of rapid growth, significant investments in technology and the establishment of a highly competent organization. Beyond this, an important aspect of Aker’s ownership agenda in the shorter term is to achieve substantial savings in Aker BP’s massive Yggdrasil development project on the Norwegian continental shelf.

Aker owns 67.6 percent of the company’s shares.

Industrial software

Aize will focus on creating a unique user experience for industrial workers in order to improve work processes and interaction. In terms of functionality, Aize’s products target two key areas: the EPC market and efficient operation of large plants and facilities, initially within the oil and gas sector. The main objective is to increase the efficiency of all types of cost-intensive projects and operations, such as wind parks, carbon capture and storage facilities, hydrogen production plants and similar renewable solutions.
